Description

Overview:
Perform critical data analysis to support efforts to compile subcontract management specifications and work statements through coordination with multiple sites to develop and implement long-term procurement strategies related to metallic structures, assemblies & bond structures, or non-metallic / metallic raw material. Thorough knowledge of supply chain systems and process, Insight, Access, and other tools will be critical in support efforts to assure statement of works, terms & conditions, etc. required for supporting efforts related to specific procurement strategies. Ability to support supply chain data analysis and decision making efforts in subcontractor selections and for relationship building with key strategic suppliers. Required to document/write long-term awards and administer on-going analysis to support supplier strategy within assigned commodity. Define subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms & conditions for the procurement of assigned commodity / production structural categories. Support efforts to prepare bid packages, analyze and evaluate supplier proposals, and support efforts to negotiate subcontract provisions. Will interface with site procurement teams to write LTA awards, and administers resulting long-term agreements (LTA) subcontracts. Will be responsible to thoroughly understand all elements (raw material, processing, etc.) that impact the price of assigned commodities. Interface with sites and programs to integrate the negotiation and coordination of additions, deletions, or modifications to LTA subcontracts. Support integrated project team with technical, schedule, quality, etc. as required to achieve overall team results. Requires knowledge of procurement processes and systems.

Responsibilities:
Apply knowledge of aerospace industry supply chain and manufacturing process methods to support implementation of supply chain strategies resulting in annualized cost reduction. Work with peers to define BOM, schedules, lead time and piece count for assigned commodities. Aggregate demand and support efforts to build and manage a supply sourcing map for multiple/assigned commodities. Develop supplier profiles, constraints, and strategic sourcing plans. Prepare and release RFQ, perform selection, business case, negotiation and contract execution with targeted suppliers. Support work transfers through first article completion. Work with internal customers and external suppliers to project management to planned transition schedules. Analytical data mining abilities, negotiation and contract management skills along with ability to create metrics to manage performance is required.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will typically have a BA/BS degree or equivalent and 6 years of related experience. Candidate must be able to support required business travel and must be a self starter. Ability to use Insight, Access, Excel, and remaining Microsoft Suite is preferred. Experience in developing, managing, and driving project schedules is key along with ability to analyze data to support creation of performance metrics to monitor progress toward achieving organizational goals is also preferred. Must also be able to support efforts to document/write long-term procurement agreements.
