ArtieArtie was picked up with his friend ANnie the poodle, running around stray. Both were in very tough shape. Artie was only about 70% of what he should weigh. He seemed tgo be a skeleton with skin, but that little boy was so very happy to be around people. His Friend Annie was a mess as well with her whole body being one giant mat. Both love the attention they are getting in their foster homes. Artie is about 2-3 yrs old, and although he weighed about 5.5 lbs when he came into the program, we are putting some weight on him slowly--hw should weigh more like 8 lbs. He likes to play with other dogs and is a little interested in the cat in his foster home, but since they cat is so much larger than he is, he didn't press his luck and backed off when he met her. He is crate trained, and we are working on the house training. We will be able to update his bio over the next few days as we get to know im better. He is current on vaccinations, has bee neutered, and tested negative for heartworms and other parasites. Due to his small and fragile size we think a home without small children would be best for him. .
