Sweet Junebug has had such a hard-luck life so far! Her owner of 6 years neglected her increasingly deteriorating eyesight, and then dumped her at a high-kill shelter in really terrible condition. Happily, Junebug was saved from the shelter on the day of her scheduled euthanasia and taken to a wonderful vet for the full work up! Additionally, she underwent surgery on both eyes and visited an ophthalmological speciality clinic. Unfortunately, Junebug's right eye could not be saved, so she looks like she has a permanent smile and a wink for you :) Her other eye was operated on and has retained the condition known as 'cherry eye' - at this point she should be ok longterm with daily application of Artificial Tears, which can be obtained at the grocery or pharmacy for a few dollars. Overall, Junebug is now recovered and ready for her forever family to take her home! Junebug is a Cocker Spaniel mix, is approximately 6 years old, weighs 25 pounds, is spayed, vetted and vaccinated, housetrained, good with other dogs, knows "sit" and is learning "stay." Her foster family hasn't had her around cats or kids, and they've not had a need to try her in a crate as she loves to just stay on her dog bed. They are quite taken with her loving, gentle, and smart personality and say that she "loves to play with a ball and will fetch! Junebug also very much enjoys her walks in the neighborhood and doesn't show aggression to or bark at other dogs that may be out and about - really she has a very calm personality & just enjoys snuggling when you lie down next to her :)" This little girl would make any family lucky as their newest member - would that be your family?
