Rat Terrier - Small - Adult - Male - Dog - Lucas (MO)

This dog is in a fosterhome in: Festus, Missouri Lucas is one super great, unique Rattie-Doxie boy with a stocky little body. Lucas had been picked up as a stray and taken to a kill shelter, so we don't know anything about his history. It does appear, though, that someone had cared about him very much at one time, and the shelter people thought he was an awesome dog so worked hard to get him into a rescue group. This youngster (between 2-3 years old) is crate trained and very good in his crate plus very well behaved. He is a highly intelligent little guy of about 13 pounds. Lucas responds wonderfully to "come," and he is doing great on his housebreaking. He is very sweet, loving, and a joy to have around. Lucas is a great "middle of the road" dog, meaning he is neither too dominant nor too timid. He is right in the middle and as sweet as can be. He does appear to be afraid of young children, however, and unaccustomed to them, so needs a home with no children. We don't know about cats, but he has been loving to all the other dogs in his fosterhome. Someone will be very lucky to add him to their household.
