Hi! My name is Sarah. My foster mom says I am a yellow lab but I think I am just a love bug! I just love to hang out with people and get lots of belly rubs. I don't care who gives them just as long as I get them because belly rubs are the best! I like to give lots of hugs and kisses too. I had a home but they let me roam. So late one night just as a terrible thunderstorm started I got really, really scared and jumped the fence at my old home and ran to where this lady was calling for her dogs to come in. My foster parents put me up for the night in a safe place where I had food and water and a warm dry bed and wasn't as scared. When they found out where I came from, they talked to my old owners who said they didn't want me any more. So I have been here ever since.I am really scared of loud noises like thunder, cars backfiring and I really hate fireworks. I get really nervous and have even broken out of my kennel a few times when it happens. I am working on my fear of noises and even got through New Year's Eve without being sedated. But I was still scared. I am getting better about going outside by myself too. I used to never want to go out unless I had a person out there with me. Now I can go out by myself and play in the fenced yard by myself for a little while. I still don't like to be out long and if it is noisy I don't want to go out at all.My dream home is a place where it is quiet and where I could be with my person a lot. If we could go on quiet walks and then come home and have cookies I would be very happy. I love to relax and watch tv on the couch or just chill on the carpet when my foster dad is on the computer. I don't mind cats at all (as long as the kitten doesn't play with my tail) but I don't like other dogs much.I would actually do well in an apartment since I don't like to be outside alone and I am very quiet for a dog. I do love to pull on a leash though when we go for walks even though I do have an old shoulder injury but it doesn't bother me much. The vet said there is nothing to do for it. I am already spayed and have had all my shots and preventatives. I just want someone to love! If you think you could love me please contact my rescue people!This pet is up to date on vaccines, flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative and has been or will be altered and microchipped before adoption.
