Linux Administrator - Fort Worth - Contract to hire (possibility) 60-70K annualized

This is an interesting role for a Linux administrator who will support internal operations and an advanced software team. Will support software developers in a C++, Linux and Windows environment by maintaining the OS systems and developing advanced scripting to support platform availability and development. Will support the network, maintain traffic / connectivity. Candidate will configure and maintain servers, monitor network performance, support FTP files, remote access etc. Will support multi-platform environment (Windows and Linux). Will provide backup, recovery, setups, installs and scripting and general IT functions.

Skills sought: BS degree (prefer BSCS or BSEE). 3-5+ years of Linux and Windows administration. Unix/Linux scripting: korn, Perl, TCL, awk, etc. Good C or C++ scripting (this is not an application development role), mandriva Linux, QNX CVS, Solaris, Red hat or others. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work closely with development team. Please note that strong Linux support experience (on the job) is required.
